作者简介

William J. Mann is the author of Kate: The Woman Who Was Hepburn, which received extraordinary acclaim when it was published in 2006 and was named a New York Times Notable Book. Mann Has worked as a freelance journalist and editor, and has written several other works of fiction and nonfiction, including the 1999 Lambda Literary Award Winner Wisecracker: The Life and Times of William Haines, the story of the early Hollywood icon and interior decorator to the stars.
Born in Connecticut, Mann worked briefly in Washington D.C. as a Capitol Hill aide before receiving his Masters degree at Wesleyan University. He divides his time between Provincetown, Massachusetts and Palm Springs, California.
