Maria Tatar is the author of The Hard Facts of the Grimms’ Fairy Tales, Off with Their Heads! Fairy Tales and the Culture of Childhood, and Lustmord: Sexual Violence in Weimar Germany. She is Professor of German at Harvard University, where she teaches courses on German cultural studies, folklore, and children’s literature.
