Jack Zipes is Professor of German, Scandinavian, and Dutch at the University of Minnesota. His many books include Breaking the Magic Spell: Radical Theories of Folk and Fairy Tales, The Trials and Tribulations of Little Red Riding Hood: Versions of the Ta
