He's not as easily impressed or murderous these days, but Singapore still lures him back for regular pit stops. A lapsed architect, shameless chilli addict and laksa aficionado, Charles greased the production wheels in Lonely Planet's Melbourne office for many years before ma king a break for the open road in 2005.
